We've been wanting a crock pot for quite some time and finally got one when my Mamaw hooked us up for my Birthday. I'm completely jazzed about our new kitchen appliance and Mr. D is ever more excited because he's been begging for a crock pot for months.
The problem? I only have one crock pot recipe. That's right.
One. While it's a great, easy and delish recipe, we certainly can't eat it every night. This is where y'all come in. Anyone have any great crock pot recipes they would be willing to share? Preferably healthy, low-cal/fat/carb recipes; but I won't be choosy. Any recipes would be wonderful. (And no, I don't want to just go buy a Crock pot Cookbook. I want real recipes y'all love and make all the time. Yes, I'm being demanding, but I'll share my one crock pot recipe with you in return.)
Shredded Beef Sandwiches
1 medium sized Chuck Roast (Poor Man’s Roast)
1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup
1 cup of water
1 12 pack of Hawaiian rolls
Mix packet of Lipton Onion Soup with 1 cup of water. Rinse roast with cold water and add to crock pot with water and Lipton Onion Soup packet. Cover. Cook roast on low/medium temperature for 8 to 10 hrs. Remove roast and shred with two forks. Add shredded beef to your Hawaiian roll and there you have it! Perfect for potlucks, tailgates during football season, or a busy evening when you're not going to have time to cook dinner.
Now, if you could just email me or post your favorite crock pot recipe in the comments, that would be splendid! :)
xoxo,
Mrs. D
