I read Something Borrowed and Something Blue, both by Emily Giffin, back in 2005 and absolutely adored the two novels. You can only imagine my delight when I heard
Something Borrowed was going to debut on the big screen. I have been
so excited to see this chick flick! I know I've mentioned this before, but I love when my favorite books become movies because it gives me the oppertunity to enjoy the story and characters again.
Last Friday, Chelsea, Sheena and I had a total girls night and went to see
Something Borrowed. It was so nice to get to hang out with the girls, munch on some popcorn and peanut m&m's and enjoy a great movie. I had the movie built up in my head and I must say, it did not disappoint. I loved it! From what I can remember (it has been six years since I read the book), the movie stuck pretty close to the storyline of the book, which is crucial for me. (I
hate strongly dislike when they take a lovely story, rip it apart, change all the storylines and make it into a movie.)
The movie was great and I highly recommend you go see it, especially if you love a good chick flick like I do. :) Ginnifer Goodwin and Kate Hudson are absolutely adorable...not to mention, Colin Egglesfield and John Krasinski are total cuties.
Mrs. D gives
Something Borrowed two very enthusiastic thumbs up!
