A Book Club...?


I have wanted to join a local book club for years and just haven't been able to find the right one.  Recently, I started thinking perhaps I'd just start my own.  When I mentioned my idea to Jill, over at Bluegrass Belle, she thought it was a great idea and encouraged me to make this a goal for 2011.  I knew January was going to be a crazy, hectic month so I decided February would be a perfect month to begin the book club.  This way, everyone has plenty of time to get used to any changes the new year brings and read the book by mid February. 

Here is where y'all come in...any other Lexintonian's out there interested in joining a book club?  The plan would be to meet once monthly (either in the evening after work or on the weekend) and discuss our latest book.  I'm super duper excited about a book club and have a couple ideas for our first book.  I would LOVE if you wanted to be a part of our monthly book club!  Who knows...it may just be me and Jill...?  Although, I hope lots of you want to be there.  The more the merrier!

    Would it be too random if I joined?? I've tried a couple of book clubs before, but I was the youngest person in the group. It's a lot more enjoyable doing a book club with people around your age.

    Seriously? Not random at all! That's the point! To start a book club and make some new friends that enjoy reading as much as I do. :) I'm soooo excited and your comment has made my day!

    I'm in!! But I can't participate until March(after the bar) so maybe I can get in on the 2nd round....I think if we did it on the weekends a brunch meeting time would be fun!

    Oh, I wish I lived closer so I could be a part of your book club. I've always wanted to do one too, but could never find enough people that were also interested. Can't wait to hear all about it and see what you decide for your first book!
